In 2021, at the age of 61, Will felt the need for a lifestyle change. He had a wealth of experience behind him; 40 years in ophthalmic optics, mostly as a director of an optical manufacturing company and chain of high street opticians. Supported by his wife Debbie, he parted company with the organisation he had worked with happily for a long time. Drawing on his vast experience he had the idea of forming a company that would fund his UK and overseas work as well as keep him active and involved in working life. Eye Will Ltd was formed in January 2022.

Eye Will Ltd offers training and support for optical professionals as well as providing specialist lenses and optical products for the photographic and film industries. We offer a friendly and supportive service and hope to evolve and grow as the company develops. Will and Debbie have been together since they were 17. They have lived all their adult life near
Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire and have four sons and seven grandchildren. They are involved in the local community and have an allotment. They have a keen interest in social justice, environmental and animal rights issues.

Will has a running dependency problem and has completed more marathons and ultra marathons than he can remember. Their oldest son has just completed his 100th marathon and their oldest grandson came first in his age group in his latest half marathon. There is clearly some strong genetic link here, or could it just be grandparent influence! Will is a trustee of a clean water charity and does around three trips a year to Africa providing glasses to people who have no access to eye care.

Debbie has law and nursing degrees and still works two days per week at Harefield hospital. She enjoys spending much of her other time working with disabled people as part of a riding for the disabled group and being with her beloved horse Freddie. She is in charge of the accounts of Eye Will Ltd.
